Philosopher Queens

The Philosopher Queen Model is how Malkia Africa builds women who change systems. It runs through our Field Lab and Policy Arm, turning lived experience into real policy.

The women in PQM are not its beneficiaries—they are the instruments of systemic change, the policy actors who rewrite the rules that govern everyone.

Three pillars, one movement

PQM turns lived civic experience into evidence, and evidence into reform—led by the women who live it.

Field Lab Evidence

As women with exceptional civic potential navigate our governance hierarchy, they document the real barriers to accessing policy processes. This lived experience creates a continuous evidence stream for our research on women's political participation.

Policy Arm Leadership

PQM participants are not typical programme graduates. They are built into analytical policy actors equipped with the knowledge and relationships to engage legislative processes and place reform proposals directly in front of decision-makers.

The QuTees Pipeline

This youth-facing extension builds Africa's next generation of policy reformers from universities and student movements, gathering field evidence on the unique barriers young women face in civic participation.
